MY PRACTICE

I grew up in church but always had a sense of dissatisfaction. I always felt there was more, but I never knew how to attain it. Not long after, I was introduced to reading the Bible aloud and memorizing scripture. Additionally, I was advised to pray out loud the scriptures I had memorized for an hour daily. After intentionally pursuing these three spiritual disciplines daily for almost a year, I felt like my heart caught on fire. It was similar to what happened to the two disciples on the walk to Emmaus said they felt. My heart began to burn as I read the scripture. These three disciplines radically changed my life, and I was never the same again

32  And they  said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us  by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? 

We believe that the priesthood of believers was commissioned to promote the cause of God. No longer can we depend on one superhero preacher or

groups of ministers to advance the Gospel on earth. 1 Peter chapter 3:15 and Matthew 28:18-20 is a clarion call to every

believer. However, not every believer has undergone intentional preparation to give a defense for what they believe. This course was designed to set every believer on the path to having an encounter with God.

15  But  sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give  an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with  meekness and fear:
 

Matthew 28:18-20 (KJV)
18  And  Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is  given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19   Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,  baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy  Ghost:
20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded  you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.  Amen. 

The most significant community to ever exist or that is currently in existence is the church founded by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is fitly joined together by the Holy Spirit. I want to remind this community of what the founder said "Only one thing is needful"; (Luke 10:42). The apostle Paul Called out the Hebrews on their failure to take heed to this truth in Hebrews chapter 5.

12  For  when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again  which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such  as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13   For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of  righteousness: for he is a babe.
